Does anything come upon me due to the death of my cat, which I took out of the house fearing it would urinate in it before my travel?

If you remove the cat from the house and do not confine it outside, there is no sin upon you, for sheltering cats is not obligatory. The sin falls upon the one who confined the cat and did not provide it with food and drink until it died of hunger, as stated in the Prophetic Hadeeth.
