Do those who abandon enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong fall under the category of those whom Allah curses and those who curse, as mentioned in the noble verse: "Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the Scripture – those are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse"?

A Muslim is obligated to enjoin good, forbid evil, and teach the ignorant. This applies to both the knowledgeable and the disobedient. Failing to teach the ignorant the obligatory knowledge is a sin and exposes the person to the warning mentioned in the Almighty's saying: "Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance..." (Quran 2:159). However, failing to warn a disobedient person who is already aware of the impermissibility of his action does not fall under concealing knowledge. Nevertheless, negligence in forbidding him from evil is impermissible, as enjoining good and forbidding evil is an Islamic obligation. Allah indeed condemned the Children of Israel for their failure to forbid evil.
