A wife is not obligated to serve her husband's parents or siblings, nor is she required to obey her husband if he commands her to do so. This is because her obedience is obligatory only in matters related to the marriage and its ancillaries. If she chooses to do so voluntarily, it is a good deed to win her husband's affection. As for a husband divorcing his wife because she refuses to serve his parents, this is considered reprehensible by jurists, and some even deem it forbidden because it causes harm without necessity.
