The basic principle regarding the sale of goods that can be used for both permissible and impermissible purposes is permissibility, unless it is known that the buyer will use them for an impermissible act, in which case the sale is not permissible. This applies to cosmetics: the basic principle in their sale is permissibility, except to someone who is known, or it is highly probable, that she will use them for what is forbidden to her.
