Is a husband sinful for preventing his wife and her sister from exchanging visits, knowing that the reason for the prevention is the many problems the sister caused the husband?

If you fear that your wife's sister may corrupt her by instilling grudges, then you are permitted to prevent her from visiting. We advise you to overlook, pardon, and repel [evil] with what is better, for Allah Almighty says: "So whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is due from Allah" and "Repel [evil] with that which is best, then verily he, between whom and you was enmity, (will become) as though he was a close friend." As for the devil among jinn, seek refuge in Allah from him.
