Is a man's saying, "I want to end this marriage" or "If I had married so-and-so instead of my wife, it would have been better for me," considered a divorce?

Doubt concerning uttering a divorce pronouncement before consummation does not effect a divorce, because the certainty of marriage is not removed by doubt. And the statement "Or, were I not to marry so-and-so..." is neither explicit nor indicative of divorce, so nothing is effected by it. It is advised to live with one's wife kindly and to avoid anger.
