Does my stopping the nutrient solution for a patient who died immediately thereafter count as causing her death?

If the nutritional solution was stopped with the intention of killing the patient, and you and her daughter knew that this would lead to her death, then both of you are sinful and are considered murderers of a soul unjustly. Your sin is greater because you directly participated in the killing. You both must repent, and you must offer expiation, which is the freeing of a believing slave. If none is available, then it is fasting for two consecutive months. The guardians of the deceased have the right to demand retribution from you, or to pardon, either for blood money or without blood money. However, if the stopping of the solution was not intended to cause death, but you both thought it would not kill her, then this is involuntary manslaughter, and expiation and blood money (to be paid by your 'aqilah - male relatives on your father's side) are incumbent upon you, unless the guardians pardon.
