Is zakat obligatory on inherited buildings from which rent is spent on minor siblings and debt repayment, knowing that the heir lives in the father's house?

Zakat is obligatory on money and trade goods if they reach the waṣāb (minimum threshold) and a hawl (one lunar year) has passed over them, at a rate of a quarter of a tenth (2.5%), after deducting any debts. However, real estate designated for housing or rent is not subject to Zakat.
