Is visiting a man who claims to cure incurable diseases by shaking hands and staring at water, while insisting that he is an ordinary farmer and that what he possesses is a gift from Allah, considered a form of shirk, especially since he does not claim to be learned in Islamic jurisprudence or religious, and it is rumored that he has a connection with jinn?

What has been mentioned about this man, such as his shaking hands with women and preventing pregnant women from approaching him under the pretext that their fetuses would miscarry, and the widespread rumor that he has a relationship with jinn, strongly suggests that he practices magic or soothsaying. Therefore, it is not permissible to go to him, due to the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever goes to a sorcerer or a soothsayer or a diviner and believes what he says, has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad." The fact that he does not ask about the names of parents or does not give amulets does not change the ruling, because the methods of magic and soothsaying are numerous.
