What is the ruling on the izar (lower garment), and is it obligatory to raise trousers above the ankles, given the permissibility of letting a garment hang below the ankles without pride?

Scholars have differed on the ruling of isbal (letting garments hang below the ankles) when it is not out of arrogance. The fatwa adopted by us is the absolute prohibition of isbal, whether it be for the izar (lower garment), trousers, or other clothing. It appears that covering the ankles is permissible, and that the prohibition and warning apply to covering what is below them. To avoid sin, it is sufficient for the length of the trousers not to extend below the ankles.
