What is the ruling on writing the entire hamza next to the alif in verse 17 of Surat Al-Ghashiyah, and placing the small alif on the letter before it instead of placing it in the middle in verse 82 of Surat An-Nisaa'?
Verse 17 of Surah Al-Ghashiyah: {Do they not then look at the camels – how they are created?}. The hamzat al-qat' (قطع) in "الإبل" (al-ibil) is placed under the alif (left or right of the circle), according to the schools of Al-Kharraz and Ad-Dani. As for the word "اختلاف" (ikhtilaf) in Surah An-Nisa: {they would have found therein much discrepancy}, its alif is omitted and appended to the lam from the right, which is the preferred view. These are matters related to the orthography (ضبط) of the Qur’an, and one who deviates from its rules does not incur sin.
