The supplication known as "Du'a Jibreel" (the Supplication of Gabriel) has no basis in the Sunnah; rather, it is a fabricated hadith. Its wording suggests that it was concocted by heretics, due to the exaggerations in rewards and merits it claims, as well as grammatical and spelling errors, in addition to what indicates the foolishness of its originator. The authentic Sunnah contains what is sufficient, rendering such superstitions and deviations unnecessary.
