What is the ruling on designing covers for novels prevalent on social media, using images quoted from the internet (including images of a human silhouette, or images showing only the body or the eye without showing the full face), while being careful not to show anything that causes temptation? And will the designer be held accountable for the content of novels they have not read?

It is permissible to place photographic images on covers, except for those that are forbidden to look at. As for hand-drawn images, it is permissible to use those with incomplete features, or complete ones with the face blurred or the features indistinct. As for novels, it is not permissible to design covers for novels that promote corrupt beliefs and beautify indecencies. It is permissible to design covers for novels that are free from Sharia prohibitions. However, if the status of the novel is unknown, designing a cover for it is not forbidden, because the prohibition of assisting in what is forbidden applies when there is knowledge.
