Is it permissible to give charity from financial aid disbursed by a non-Islamic state?

If you acquired this money through legitimate means, it has become your property, and you are permitted to dispose of it in any way you wish. Charity is one of the best ways to spend money, and there is no blame upon you for giving charity from it; rather, you will be rewarded for it, Allah willing.
