The marriage of a Muslim man to a polytheist woman is forbidden by the consensus of Muslims, based on the Almighty's saying: "And do not marry polytheistic women until they believe." Allah the Almighty did not make an exception except for the chaste woman of the Book, yet it is still advisable to avoid marrying her, due to the constant mixing with someone who is not of the religion of Islam, and the risks involved in raising children. Therefore, the brother must fear Allah, repent to Him, and separate from the polytheistic Buddhist woman. It is not permissible for him to keep her for a single moment after knowing the ruling, based on the Almighty's saying: "And do not hold on to the bonds of disbelieving women." He should be advised and have the religious ruling clarified to him, and be encouraged towards what is lawful and warned against what is unlawful. Help should be sought from those who have a connection to him and influence over him, along with frequent supplication for his guidance.
