Is a woman obligated to cover her hands in front of people despite the difficulty she might face from wearing gloves, especially in hot weather?

A woman must cover her hands because they are part of the awrah (parts of the body that must be covered in Islam). Ibn Qudamah argued that the entire free woman is awrah, even her fingernail and hair. Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned that the prohibition for a woman in ihram from wearing a niqab (face veil) and gloves indicates that women used to cover their faces and hands. It is not necessary to cover the palms with gloves; rather, one can let some clothing hang over them. Enduring the occasional difficulty of gloves is done seeking reward from Allah.
