What is the ruling on doubting the religion and discussing it with others, knowing that I suffer from obsessive thoughts that prevent me from sleeping, and disturbing dreams, despite my diligently observing prayers, supererogatory acts of worship, and seeking forgiveness?

Doubt concerning religion and hesitation about Islam being the truth is one of the nullifiers of faith and a sign of the hypocrites. However, this might be a waswasah (whispering from Satan). The difference between doubt and waswasah is that the one afflicted with waswasah dislikes these thoughts and recoils from them, while deep down, they are a believer. One should frequently remember Allah and supplicate to Him, and perform good deeds to strengthen faith and repel doubts and suspicions.
