What is the ruling on one who views an pornographic website on the Internet without his knowledge?

It is forbidden to watch pornographic films or websites. If one's gaze unintentionally falls upon them, and then one turns away and does not return to them, there is no blame upon them. This is based on the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying to Ali, may Allah be pleased with him: "O Ali, do not follow a glance with another glance, for the first is yours, but the last is not." The "first glance" refers to a sudden, unintentional look, as indicated by his saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "Avert your gaze." One must stay away from these websites and change them quickly, because looking is the precursor to adultery and a poisoned arrow from the arrows of Iblis. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The glance is a poisoned arrow from the arrows of Iblis. Whoever abandons it out of fear of Allah, Allah عز وجل will grant him a faith whose sweetness he will find in his heart." And remember the words of Allah the Almighty: "He knows the deceit of the eyes and what the chests conceal."
