Is it obligatory to take precautions, as far as possible, to prevent urine from touching the body, or is it obligatory to prevent it from touching the body even by a single drop?

One must be cautious of urine and purify the body and clothes from any urine that gets on them. There is no distinction between a small or large amount of it, according to the majority of scholars. They cited the Almighty's saying: "And your garments purify," and the hadith: "Cleanse yourselves from urine, for indeed, most of the torment of the grave is due to it." However, the Hanafis, al-Sarakhsi, and the people of Kufa disagreed, permitting a small amount of urine. A differing opinion has been reported from the Malikis, but their well-known stance is that it is not excused. It is reported from Ibn al-'Imad that a small amount of urinary incontinence on one's garment is excused for one prayer only. Al-Adhra'i held the view that a small amount of urine is excused for those who find it difficult to guard against it due to old age or illness.
