Is hair transplantation permissible, and is it permissible to shave the head in preparation for the procedure, knowing that the shape of the hair is distressing to its owner, and she is a veiled woman?

Legally, it is permissible to perform hair transplantation to remove defects such as baldness. There is also no objection to shaving hair out of necessity, such as the presence of sores and the like. This is based on what Ikrimah narrated: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a woman from shaving her head. However, if there was an excuse, such as sores, it was not disliked."
