What is the ruling on swearing an oath upon the Qur’an not to leave a person, and then going back on this oath?

The premarital relationship that some people have become accustomed to is a serious matter, and one must repent and seek forgiveness for it. As for the oath you swore, there is no blame upon you for it, because the rejection did not come from your side, but rather from the young man with whom you made the agreement. And since you are now absolved from your oath, it is your right to accept another person who proposes marriage to you.
