A woman resides where her husband resides, and she must obey him in moving with him, unless she stipulated before marriage that she would reside in her own country. If the wife does not obey her husband in moving, she is disobedient (nashiz), and he has the right to stop spending on her (unless she is pregnant). The husband has the right to prevent his wife from calling her family or visiting them if he fears they will corrupt her. He should communicate with his wife and clarify to her that her obedience to him is more obligatory than her obedience to her parents.
