Should a worshiper complete the Dhuhr prayer if the Asr Adhan is called while they are in the first Rak'ah of it?
If a person begins the Dhuhr prayer at the time of the Asr adhan, he must complete his prayer, because continuing a prayer that has been initiated is obligatory. However, if he can complete two rak'ahs (shaf') and join the Imam before missing a rak'ah, he should do so; otherwise, he should cut off his prayer and join the Imam.
It must be noted that delaying a fard (obligatory) prayer without necessity brings the one who does so under the warning of Allah's saying: (So woe to those who pray [But] who are heedless of their prayer) and the hadith "That is the prayer of the hypocrite." It is obligatory to observe prayer at its prescribed time, with all its conditions and pillars.
