What should we do regarding the Imam of the mosque who makes many mistakes in recitation, whose voice is unclear and hoarse, despite the presence of others who are better than him in recitation and voice, which causes embarrassment and complaints among the worshippers?

The course of action is to raise the matter to the concerned authority regarding imams, such as the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf), to verify the imam's qualification for imamate and to replace him if he is not. If the mosque is not affiliated with the Awqaf, then the wise people of the neighborhood and the people of knowledge should gather to decide whether to keep the imam or choose someone else.
