Is it permissible to apply descriptions of disobedient people from among the People of the Book or the polytheists to some Muslims, by way of using the description without making a judgment against them?

A Muslim should fear Allah and restrain his tongue from what does not benefit him, as the divine texts have warned against the danger of the tongue. However, if a Muslim exhibits characteristics of disbelievers, such as abandoning an obligation or committing a forbidden act, it is permissible to describe him as such, and that he possesses a characteristic of the Jews or Christians or of the era of ignorance, provided that it is for a legitimate Sharia purpose, such as warning, deterring, or clarifying. Every act of disobedience stems from the manners of the era of ignorance, but that does not remove the Muslim from faith and the designation of Islam.
