What is the ruling on promoting women's shoes where a woman's leg is visible, and is the money resulting from that forbidden?

Anything that leads to fitna (temptation, discord) and lust is forbidden to look at, even if it is not awrah (parts of the body that must be covered), and even if it is a picture of a body part. This is because the reason for the prohibition is the fear of fitna and lust. Therefore, whenever fitna is feared from a picture of a woman's foot (let alone her leg, which is awrah by consensus), publishing that picture is forbidden.

However, if it is highly probable that the picture does not arouse lust and there is no fear of fitna from it, then publishing its picture is not forbidden, considering that it is not awrah.

We advise refraining from all of this out of piety towards Allah. But if it is absolutely necessary, then one should limit it to a picture of the foot because it is not considered awrah by the Hanafis, and one should choose pictures of feet that do not arouse lust. The intention here is to picture the shoe, not the foot itself.
