Is it permissible to boycott one's mother and rebuke her, knowing that the children are traveling, if she harms their wives and falsely accuses them?

The fundamental principle concerning a Muslim is their integrity; therefore, it is impermissible to accuse them of wrongdoing without clear evidence. If the mother accuses her son's wife and her other son's wife of immorality without evidence, she has committed a wrongdoing. She should be gently advised and reminded of the obligation to have a good opinion of a Muslim. If she persists, one must be patient with her, and it is not permissible to abandon her. The distance between the two sons and their wives is a cause of these problems; therefore, each of them should strive to have his wife live with him. The two wives should fear Allah and avoid situations that raise suspicion to prevent being ill-thought of.
