Is it permissible for a Muslim to accept donations from a non-Muslim for charitable projects?

It is permissible to accept donations from non-Muslims as long as it is not accompanied by any forbidden act, such as compromising one's religion or experiencing humiliation. Imam Al-Bukhari titled a chapter in his Sahih: "Chapter on Accepting Gifts from Polytheists." Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar, in his commentary, stated that the prohibition of accepting gifts from polytheists applies to those whose gifts are intended for alliance, while acceptance is for those whose donation is hoped to bring them solace and incline them towards Islam. As for soliciting donations from disbelievers, it carries prohibitions such as humiliation before them and them gaining control over the solicitor's heart. However, if it is free from these prohibitions, then there is no harm, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sought help from some polytheists in matters of Dawah without humiliation. Humiliation is negated by placing donation boxes or displaying advertisements with account numbers.
