Is it permissible for a wife to advise her husband, who has reached the age of sixty, to pray at their appointed times, and should she continue to advise him despite his harsh reply that he will not share her grave and that Allah alone will hold him accountable?

A wife should advise her husband with wisdom and gentleness if she sees him neglecting prayer, and she should not despair of reforming him. She should repeat the advice because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Religion is advice.” As for his statement to her that she will not be held accountable with him in the grave, this indicates his ignorance; for the wife is not held accountable for her husband’s shortcoming in prayer, but she may be held accountable for her negligence in advising him.
