What should I do regarding my father, who always delays prayer, performing it in the last few minutes, and does not recite the Qur’an frequently, nor does he say the adhkar except rarely, knowing that my advice to him is met with rejection and reprimand, and I fear for him a bad ending and Allah’s reckoning with me because of him?

It is advisable to begin by counseling the father to perform obligations and abandon prohibitions before focusing on recommended acts, using gentle and kind words in the advice, and offering him some beneficial materials. It is also requested to frequently supplicate for his guidance and repentance. Furthermore, one must accompany him with kindness and humility, even if he is disobedient, for the father's status is great. If the daughter fulfills the duty of counseling and the father insists on negligence, then she is not responsible for his shortcomings.
