What are the consequences of a wife leaving the marital home without her husband's knowledge, and what is the ruling if this recurs?

The words uttered by the husband are not explicit declarations of divorce, but rather allusions that do not result in divorce without intention. As long as the husband is not certain of his intention, then no divorce occurs by his wife leaving without his knowledge, and nothing is binding upon him. We advise the husband to refrain from threatening divorce or using its allusions, and we advise the wife to fear Allah, obey her husband in what is right, and not to leave their home without his permission.
