The majority of scholars hold that the defects necessitating the annulment of marriage and requiring disclosure to the suitor are those that prevent intercourse, or are repulsive or contagious diseases. As for a non-contagious or non-repulsive illness that does not prevent intercourse, there is no obligation to disclose it, and this does not constitute forbidden deception, especially if the person is undergoing treatment for it and its symptoms are not apparent. However, frankness is preferable.
