When a woman's maniy (vaginal discharge/ejaculate) exits and touches clothing, it leaves a stain. Scholars have explicitly stated that rubbing is not sufficient for a woman's maniy; rather, it must be washed, according to the view that it is impure, or it is recommended to wash it, according to the view that it is pure. This is because a man's maniy is thick and can be rubbed off, whereas a woman's maniy is thin and does not disappear with rubbing, and its trace remains.
