What is the ruling on naming a girl "Iqra'?"

The default rule for names is permissibility unless something is forbidden by Islamic law. However, it is desirable to choose a good name. Some scholars have disliked naming children after the names of Quranic surahs, such as "Taha" and "Yasin." The name "Iqra'" refers to Surah (definition) Al-'Alaq. If the intention behind this name is to refer to the surah, then naming a child with it is disliked, as it is not suitable for a female and is a masculine imperative verb, especially since there are many other beautiful names that suffice.
