What is the ruling on tambourines on Friday, considering it a feast (Eid) among the feasts of Muslims?

Beating the daff (tambourine) is permissible in certain situations, such as announcing a marriage, as Al-Munawi said: "The narration indicates the permissibility of beating the daff at weddings and similarly for every joyful event." However, as for beating the daff on Friday because it is a holiday, there is no evidence to indicate its permissibility, and it was not known during the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him, nor his companions. Had it been permissible, it would have been widespread. Therefore, it is not legislated to specify Friday for beating the daff.
