A woman's conversation with a non-mahram man is permissible when there is a need, provided that the Islamic etiquettes are observed, such as not being in seclusion (khalwa) and not speaking in a soft, alluring manner. However, it is better to avoid such conversations, especially among young people, to prevent the temptation (fitna) that could arise. If there is a need to confide, it is better to seek a trustworthy female friend or another woman. If you do not find one, then occupy yourself with the remembrance of Allah, the company of righteous women, and reading the biographies of righteous people to alleviate your concerns.
