What is the ruling regarding a person who, when told that singing is forbidden, says: "I wish I could put all the sheikhs and religious scholars in a pit and burn them," or "The sheikhs do not follow the religion except in polygamy and food only," and is such a person considered an apostate, and what is required concerning him?

Songs that include musical instruments and entertainment, or obscene language that incites immorality, are forbidden. A Muslim must submit to Allah's حكم (judgment). Whoever is weak in applying Allah's command should seek forgiveness, not oppose the people of truth. Hating religious people and mocking them are grave transgressions that may lead to apostasy, and their perpetrator fears punishment.
