Is it valid to intersperse the toes with a wet finger and wipe the face with the water placed in the hand during ablution?
Massaging between the toes is a Sunnah, and it is sufficient to get water to them. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen explained that massaging between the toes, especially those that are close together, is a Sunnah, due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying to Al-Qayt bin Sabirah: "Massage between the fingers." What is obligatory is to be certain that water enters between them. It is sufficient for water to flow over the entire limb when washing the organs of ablution; water dripping is not a condition. However, merely wiping without water flowing is not sufficient.
