Should the person suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder repeat the prayer and then ask, or ask first and then repeat it if its invalidity is confirmed?

It is recommended to show patience and seek reward from Allah when afflicted with illness, as it atones for sins and brings about Allah's pleasure. Any doubts that arise after finishing prayer do not affect it, as they are from whisperings (waswasah). It is advised for anyone afflicted with waswasah to connect with scholars and act upon their fatwas, and not to pay attention to doubts, because the scholar represents the correct opinion in confronting the whisperings of Satan. Whatever fatwa the scholar issues, one should accept it with an open heart. It is also recommended to consistently supplicate and implore Allah, and to consult a trustworthy psychiatrist.
