If there is doubt about a discharge, whether it is semen or something else, a woman may choose to apply the ruling of either. If a woman performs ghusl—assuming it is semen—in a small amount of water, this water does not become impure, because a believer does not become impure, and a pure body does not render pure water impure by contact. Therefore, you were not required to repeat the ghusl, nor to ask your family to perform ghusl.
