Working as a guard for liquor stores is religiously prohibited, and the money earned from it is illicit. The husband must repent. The wife and children may consume this money in extreme necessity if they cannot find any other lawful money; otherwise, they may not. The wife should demand lawful maintenance from her husband, and she is not permitted to take illicit money if she is able to earn. She should provide for herself from her own earnings if her husband does not provide her with lawful maintenance. As for young children, they may take from their father's money, unlike older, earning children.
