How can one respond to a woman who claims there are no explicit verses prohibiting fornication and sodomy, and who insults the Prophet (peace be upon him) for his marriage to Umm al-Mu'minin Zaynab, and who alleges that the Almighty's saying, "فآذوهما" (fa'aazuhuma - then harm them), incites immorality?

The prophethood of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, is denied only by an arrogant disbeliever. His marriages to the Mothers of the Believers were for noble reasons. As for denying the prohibition of adultery and sodomy, this is something known by necessity in Islam, and the texts of revelation have been successively transmitted regarding their prohibition. The punishment for adultery at the beginning of Islam was harm, then it was abrogated by flogging and stoning. The questioner is advised to avoid discussing with these apostates if he does not possess sufficient ability to refute them.
