What is the ruling of the Sharia on donating the value of unpaid transportation fares, knowing the difficulty of returning them to the competent authority, and does this charity suffice for the payment? And how can one expiate for damaging school property in childhood?

Charity given on behalf of another person's right is not sufficient unless it is impossible to deliver the right to them and there is no hope of doing so. Therefore, it is obligatory to return the company's right to it if possible. Similarly, property belonging to the school that was damaged has a value, and it is necessary to seek absolution for it by returning to the school and paying compensation if required, or by giving charity to public welfare causes or the poor if reaching the school is not possible. What was done before reaching puberty incurs no sin, but it does not waive the guarantee of another's right.
