Who are the women a man is permitted to shake hands with? And who are the men a girl is permitted to shake hands with, according to the Maliki school of thought?

It is permissible for a man to shake hands with his female mahrams, and for a woman to shake hands with her male mahrams. As for a man shaking hands with a young, non-mahram (definition) woman, it is prohibited according to the four schools of thought. The Hanafis qualified this prohibition by stipulating the fear of fitna (temptation). The Hanbalis and Hanafis permitted shaking hands with an old woman who is not typically desired.
