What should a man do who discovered his wife's infidelity, which she confessed to and claimed to sincerely repent from, and she is now diligent in her prayers and asking for forgiveness and to remain with him and their children, while he is suffering from doubts? Should he divorce her, or what should he do?

We ask Allah to reward you for your affliction and to protect you and your family. To be rid of confusion and doubts, turn to Allah and supplicate to Him, examine your condition and repent, and turn to obedience. Check on your wife; if you see righteousness and repentance, then keep her. But if you are not reassured, then release her with kindness, and do not expose any secret of hers, for whoever conceals [the fault of] a Muslim, Allah will conceal his [faults].
