Is it permissible for me to benefit from free transportation or transportation at a lower cost than usual from bus drivers with whom I interact due to my work as a government employee, even though I take all legal measures against them? And does the Hadith of Ibn Al-Lutbiyyah apply to me?

The Hadith of Abu Humayd indicates the impermissibility of gifts given to employees due to their position. Ibn Taymiyyah explained a gift as a present given with the aim of seeking the favor of the recipient. He clarified that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, considered the intentions and aims of the givers. If the position is what prompted the gift, then the purpose of the gift is to benefit from the employee's authority or to benefit them because of their authority. Waiving or reducing the fee is considered a gift, and it is not permissible to accept it.
