Why are Sufis so rigid in their positions despite their innovated practices and the presence of scholars among them, and is one sinful for saying that Sufi scholars are not scholars?

Satan strives to tempt people and lead them astray, and the greatest sin he draws them into after polytheism (shirk) is falling into innovations (bid'ah), because the one who commits them does not see himself as a sinner and thus does not repent from them. The scholars within Sufi orders vary; some have not thoroughly investigated matters of innovation, while others have recognized the truth and denounced innovations. Sufis are not all on one path; some are characterized by abundant innovations and attachment to worldly matters, while others are ascetics keen on adhering to the Sharia, even if they are not entirely free from some transgressions.
