Is forsaking the Fajr prayer after a wet dream considered apostasy, and what are the resulting rulings concerning the marriage contract?

A Muslim who unintentionally sleeps through a prayer bears no sin. However, one who wakes up and realizes that the prayer time has begun, then deliberately goes back to sleep with the intention of continuing to sleep until its time expires, has committed a grave sin. Scholars have differed regarding the kufr (disbelief) of one who abandons prayer. Some are of the view that deliberately abandoning even one prayer without a valid excuse until its time expires constitutes kufr. Others believe that kufr applies only to one who abandons prayer completely. Nevertheless, there is no disagreement that whoever misses even one prayer until its time expires has committed a grave sin, and may be considered a fasiq (transgressor) or a kafir (disbeliever). As for the marriage of one who abandons prayer, it does not become invalid by missing one prayer, according to the preponderant opinion, and there is no need to renew the marriage contract. Even according to those who deem the abandonment of prayer as kufr, the separation between apostate spouses only occurs after the 'iddah (definition) (waiting period) expires.
