Is the €100 earned from depositing a friend's checks for the purpose of tax evasion considered unlawful (haram)?

A Muslim residing in non-Muslim countries must abide by their laws, which he pledged to uphold upon entering them. Therefore, it is not permissible for him to resort to fraud or deception to avoid those laws, nor is it permissible to assist him in doing so.
