Is it permissible to marry a righteous man despite the parents' objection, given their reasons of young age and fear of not completing studies?
First: A father prohibiting his daughter from marrying a suitable man for the sake of her studies is forbidden; marriage is more important than studying, and it is possible to combine the two.
Second: The suitor's studies do not prevent him from marrying if he is capable of providing for her needs in an appropriate manner. Otherwise, he must remain chaste until Allah enriches him from His bounty, while noting that a woman's contentment with little, followed by her later resentment, leads to disputes.
Third: We advise families not to impose complications and exorbitant expenses that prevent marriage and lead to spinsterhood, especially with the widespread prevalence of temptations.
